Meet Dr. Matthew

My philosophy as a dentist is to treat every patient with compassion, professionalism, and a gentle touch. I am committed to providing comprehensive, quality care while making sure patients are informed and comfortable with their treatment plan.

Each patient is unique, with very specific dental needs and personal concerns. Understanding the person, learning what they need from a visit and then providing it, is very rewarding. I love getting to know each patient and becoming their partner as they achieve their healthiest, most attractive smile.

I am particularly drawn to working with people who are anxious about seeing the dentist. Each of them has a complex reason for their worries, and I want to understand fully what they experienced and what they’re worried about. I’m a good listener and do not judge: instead, I encourage my patients to tell me what they’re thinking and, together, we find a way through those fears.

When a patient thanks me at the end of a procedure, for making it painless and stress-free, and they share their happiness in their smile … that is why I am a dentist.

Education

Progress is impossible without change, and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything. As a dentist, I keep myself up to date with the latest techniques and technologies by attending a range of continuing education courses. This helps me provide the best dental treatment options and experience for my patients.

Beyond the Practice

I grew up in India, attended dental school there, and graduated in 2005. After practicing for a couple of years, I migrated to the U.S., completed my doctorate at the University of Pennsylvania in 2012, and practiced in Michigan for three years.

Then I was offered this wonderful opportunity to work with Drs. Arti and Ashi and their team, and so, along with my husband and two lovely daughters, I moved to Maple Valley! We love living here and being part of this community.

When I’m not working, I enjoy being with my family and friends and make time to cook and travel.
